a poem by Joshua Brown
Harsh lights beaming down
Laughter from an empty clown
Cameras watching every move
Cacophony of sounds arouse
Hell runneth over.
Clear windows look out
To colorless walls about
Adverts beset all around
A soulless musician bows.
Hell waves with kindly smile.
A normal life and day
Propagandized as gay
While flames tell their story proud
Scripted into the never-ending now.
A worm am I, but yet I strive.
Alive.
Awake to the flames.
