an original poem by Joshua Brown
Wash to the beat of the water
Tricks brought on by daughters
Of men who ran from deceit
And lost the will to defeat
Monsters and dragons allowing
Fringe dominatrixes prowling
Consuming the power of boys
By corrupting with magic their toys
Swim! Under the waves we fight
As the fat fucks stand in fake fright
And shout from the shore question
Are you dying? They ask in fashion
Test me with emissions a human
Freedom from Loch Ness delusion
The eyes betray childhood theory
Of far away dinosaur fearing
While slimy the scales were flexed
In houses of neighbors distressed
Of little green men compromised
By violent betrayal of child's lives
Into the upside down of insects
Crawling into militia armories flex
Of powerful weapons stolen
From them, the other dragon
War against the warriors unholy
By warriors unashamed of polling
The mild retreat from just defeat
Of anti-child gilded royal seat
I beheld among the blank faces
Of sea serpents out of places
An industrious spy, with glass eye
Determined to undermine dry
Oceans salted with the holy Word
Lifted from beds by promise assured
Into firmament well by the magic
Of King with uncircumcised dick
Dry monsters writhe without gills
Survived by the spy on the hill
Awash from the priestess alert
My child watched amazed unhurt
Deluge into glass returning back
Antarctic walls from white into black
As the dome returns and they die
From oxygen rich blue-star skies
Red runs the planet, a final scar
Tearing through the icy far
But God disallows the rogueish one
By sending fiery arm from Holy Sun
Consume the rend, consume the tear
Prevent return of serpents lair
Oceans gone to heights unseen
Relief of men to live their mean
But one last time I walk the earth
To search for monster eggs rebirth

Thanks for reading "Back to a Prediluvian State" which was written on March 8, 2023 in Colorado, United States, North America. You can also check out my last published poem "Inside Out" which is a reflection on the first colonoscopy I ever observed. Mostly it is a thought on the complete helplessness that one must adopt to be served that procedure.
