a poem by Joshua Brown
Bring to the celebration
A sweet smelling candle
A warm chocolate drink
And a mind that can think
Of the glories of virtues
In the people dear to you
The sweet loving-kindness
And the firm held forgiveness
People around us in elation
At another year lost forever
Food, raiment, shelter on
Praise to Wisdom victor won
Wisdom, the dreamer of
Beautiful dreams in heav'n
Wisdom, the giver of
Beautiful gifts of love.
Shan't we rather meet
On this snowy day cold
In happy tidings of children
That give and are Given

Thanks for reading my poem! It was written on the RTD bus 153 in Aurora, Colorado on December 9, 2022. Check out my last poem "Dinosaur Mom" which is about a dinosaur living his best life and getting tucked in with his family at the end of a busy day.
Comment below some of your favorite holiday traditions! One of my favorites is reading "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" on Christmas Eve every year.
